St Wilfrids Classic Rally
12th August 2018
Welcome to the 2018 St Wilfrids Classic Rally. As in previous years, the event will be a scoring round of the HRCR Clubman’s Road Rally Championship. The event will once again be starting on Ripon Market place and will be finishing again with a carvery at the Staveley Arms, North Stainley
This year’s route will be based on OS Landranger maps 99 and 100. It will comprise of a scenic route of approximately 150 miles through the Vale of York and the Yorkshire Moors. Moving away slightly from the narrower roads of the upper dales.
The route will comprise of several special tests on mixed surfaces linked with regularity and transport sections. This year however, there will be a total shake up of venues using some brand new and very exciting test sites, which will be entirely different to last year. The navigation will also be taking a new shape significantly simplified to make a lot more enjoyable experience for the novices and experts alike. A tea and coffee halt, along with a lunch will be provided on route.
In order to run a successful event, we need a large number of marshals! Experience is not essential and everyone will be made welcome. So if you are free on the day, please come along and marshal!
